Blog Post 6: How Can Your Major Make the World a Better Place

Since I was little, from what I remember, I always liked knowing things, staying informed and being able to share that information. So over the years, and as I grew up, I began to notice that I really liked that.

In my family, at least in the closest circle, it was always the one who was asked about news or events that happened in Chile. Mainly because they knew that I always liked politics and information. That was one of the reasons why I decided to study journalism.

I believe that journalism is important, as well as all disciplines, but this race must exist between those who maintain our democracy and well-informed people in order to build that same healthy democracy.

For this reason, I always hope to be apart with my work, in any of the disciplines of journalism, to keep people informed because I believe that when this happens we build healthier societies.

In simple terms, with my profession I want to fulfill my dream as a child: to inform others.
